Dr. Anjanappa was born into a farming family on June 1, 1955 in Dodda Tumkur village located in Doddaballapur taluk. 

Hattur is where he completed his primary education and did his secondary and higher education in Doddaballapura before going to PUC, Government Vedic College, Bellary for medical school at Basavanagudi National College.

Next he pursued surgery by specializing in it at Karnataka Medical College, Hubli with an M.S degree later working as a surgeon starting from 1982 at Kempegowda Medical College

From 1982 until now, he has worked as a surgeon and professor at Kempegowda Medical College in Bangalore. He worked at the Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital from 1983 to 1987 before moving to the Jayanagar General Hospital, Jayanagar, where he remained until 1994. 

From 1994 till now, he has worked as a surgeon and professor at Kempegowda Medical College and has gained popularity.

He has won the admiration of all the hospital employees in his five years as Medical Superintendent. Served as a professor at Saptagiri Medical College and Siddhartha Medical College. Currently works as an instructor in Akash Medical College.

Dr. Anjanappa, coming from a farming family and with experience as a doctor, takes extra care of rural patients. In addition, he provides free services to those who are impoverished or have disabilities.
